In accordance with the provisions of the national legislative frameworks and requirements on Environmental Assessment (EA) process, Risk-Based Solutions provide services in Applied Environmental covering all aspects Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs). We are fully familiar with the various national legislative frameworks and requirements. Risk-Based Solutions have been responsibility for drafting the Environmental Management Regulations with respect to the new Environmental Management legislation soon to be introduced by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET). Risk-Based Solutions has also been responsible for drafting the SEA Procedures and Guidelines and EIA Procedures and Guidelines for MET. Through our extensive experience in Environmental Assessment in Namibia as well as our knowledge in Environmental Assessment (EA) process in Namibia within the framework of the existing policy and relevant pending bills, we at Risk-Based Solutions recognises that a good EA is a key tool to further the implementation and promotion of sound and sustainable environmental management practices in striving to achieve Integrated Environmental Management (IEM). We also recognise that, good and sound environmental assessment tools such as Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and Environmental Management Systems (EMSs) are important and ensures that the environmental consequences of various polices, plan, programmes and project development proposed by Central, Regional, Local governments as well as public and private companies and individuals are considered, understood and incorporated into the overall planning process at the early stages within the context of IEM, in which the term environment is broadly interpreted to include biophysical, social, economic, cultural, historical, political and other related components.
